Pharmacist

Responsibilities and Tasks :   Ÿ  Provides medical logistics support to ICRC Lebanon operations in accordance with ICRC logistics standards and in respect to Lebanon standard drug protocols. Ÿ  Follows-up of the medical care goods distribution and their validation. Ÿ  Performs local purchase when necessary in accordance with ICRC purchasing policy Ÿ  Performs medical data collection, entry, analysis and reporting in collaboration with Health coordinator (Quality control). Ÿ  Provides medical logistics support to ICRC Lebanon operations in accordance with ICRC logistics standards and in respect to Lebanon standard drug protocols. Ÿ  Follows-up of the medical care goods distribution and their validation. Ÿ  Follows-up any quality problems Ÿ  Ensures all administrative filing of his/her unit (field procurement files, purchase orders files, suppliers files, products files) Ÿ  Issues RO (Requisition Order) according to ICRC procedures Ÿ  Provides advice to health staff and logisticians concerning medical logistics issues Ÿ  Conduct monthly inventories, and yearly physical inventory to ICRC specifications. Ÿ  Ensures proper storing of items according to pharmaceutical and ICRC requirements, especially regarding cold chain items and controlled drugs Ÿ  Works regularly at the medical warehouse Ÿ  Ensures that cold chain equipments are working properly and that daily monitoring is in place Ÿ  Ensures FIFO, and FEFO stock rotation Ÿ  Monitors short expiry dates. Ÿ  Ensuring that storage and transport of medical goods complies with pharmaceutical laws and regulations in the country Ÿ  Prioritizes the warehouse and dispatch daily work. Ÿ  Checks that the product corresponds with the Quality Certificates provided by the supplier Ÿ  Ensures that quality certificates are available and maintain an efficient filing system Ÿ  Ensures the safe disposal of expired/ damaged medical items under regulation and accordance to Ministry of Health. Ÿ  Ensures that batch tracing is possible Ÿ  Organizes return or exchange of rejected goods Minimum required knowledge & experience:  Ÿ  Pharmacist qualification (registered and authorized for practicing in Lebanon). Ÿ  Knowledge of pharmaceutical market and laws regarding drugs and material in Lebanon Ÿ  Good knowledge in medical care goods management Ÿ  Knowledge in logistics (warehousing, stock management, cold chain…) Ÿ  Able to work independently Ÿ  Good command of written and spoken English /Arabic Ÿ  Excellent computer skills Ÿ  Strong sense of responsibility and adaptability
