The DRC response is designed around 4 majors sectors: Food /NFI distribution, Protection , Shelter and livelihood support . About the jobYou will provide case management to vulnerable boys, girls and their families who needs psychosocial support and other servicesDutiesCase management and psychosocial supportIn compliance with best-practice and international standards in CP response, provide direct psychosocial support to vulnerable girls and boys. Case management services will include assessment of needs, development of an action plan for recovery, implementing the action plan and ensuring appropriate follow up and close the case when appropriate. The case management process should be implemented through a child-centered approach; Provide age-appropriate counseling for vulnerable children through the implementation of tools developed to ensure the best interest of the child. Provide age-appropriate qualitative psychosocial support in safe spaces (community centers) including emotional support group sessions and awareness sessions;Grant implementation and reportingTo store and file CP data ensuring the confidentiality of the information collected and the services provided according to the minimum standard; To prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner upon CP Senior caseworker’s validation; To support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program; Participate in regular supervisory meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care and appropriate case managementCoordination and representationDevelop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers; Receive referrals from different agencies, do action plan and appropriate response to each case;Provide feedback of actions taken to DRC managers and other agencies when necessary;Liaise with relevant stakeholders and advocacy to address gaps in CP response services and referral protocols; Work closely with the GBV sector when a case involves child survivors, particularly when assessing best interest of the child;
About youTo be successful in this role you must have a bachelor degree in social work, consulting, psychology, or other related field, the ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times , excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity, flexibility in working overtime , computer literacy , and at least 2 years of experience in counseling mainly with childrenIdeally you will also have a Master degree in social work and/or psychology, and previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings, previous experience working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract till 31st December 2014, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from August 2014 and be willing and able to work in Zahle.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. Basic Salary: 1385 USD.
