Who are weThe Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assistance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the jobConduct outreach activities for women and girls through outreach visits, risk identification and mitigation, and support the creation and follow up of women and girls’ committees. Duties• Identify settlements of vulnerable women and girls in the catchment areas of the centre-based activities (Women Resource Center, Community Centers); • Meet regularly with partners providing services and information to women and girls in order to update service mapping and disseminate key messages; • Carry out daily field visits and conduction of information sessions on available services, reproductive health, hygiene, etc.; • Conduct risk assessment visits to identify risks faced by women and girls in their settlements  and mitigate these risks through referrals to other partners, provision of in-house services and advocacy; About youTo be successful in this role you must have:• Bachelor/Degree in social work, political science, law or other related field;  • Previous INGO experience preferred;• Good understanding of challenges faces by women and girls; basic understanding of GBV concepts. Ideally you will also have:• Master degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility; We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. You must be available to start work from August 2014 and be willing and able to work in Akkar area.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
