Volunteering During Summer Is A Great Way To Make Good Use Of Your Time And Do Something Amazing. The Community Center Of The Good Shepherd Sisters In Jdeidet Is Seeking Volunteers For Their Summer Camp (10 Days) During August 2014

The Community Centre of the Good Shepherd Sisters, based in Jdeidet El Meten, was established in 1998. The programs run by the Centre have helped over thousands of children and hundreds of families in the marginalised communities of Jdeidet and neighbouring suburbs.  Activities of the centre include an after school support program where children are helped with their homework and extracurricular activities on Saturdays. During summer time, a camp is organized for 100 disadvantaged children to take them out of their environment and provide them the chance to discover a new one in the middle of the Lebanese nature. This summer camp program is especially important in bringing together children and youth from different backgrounds and fostering friendship and understanding between them. We need volunteers:  as “Moniteurs” to take care of the children and others to be a part of the “Logistic team”. Together we could make a difference in  these children’s life. Volunteering during summer is a great way to make good use of your time and do something amazing. Not everyone wants to laze around on a beach (or in their bedroom) on their summer holidays, and that’s where volunteering into summer camp come into play.
