Pss Activities Coordinator

Background Main Objectives With the support and supervision of the Project Manager and the Youth Support Officer, the PSS Activities Coordinator is responsible for the correct and efficient implementation of the PSS projects activities in the assigned area. Duties and responsibilities: Provide technical guidance to the development of the project’s PSS component; Develop plans for psychosocial activities with children participating in CFSs, CSBs and YCs activities; Develop M&E tools and analysis related to the PSS activities; Hold focus group discussions with parents and caregivers; Ensure timely and quality implementation of the PSS activities; Provide daily coaching, support and supervision to the animators and educators of CFSs, CSBs and YCs in the implementation of the PSS activities; Provide training to the staff on psychosocial support planning and monitoring and on psychosocial first aid; Provide advice on how to integrate PSS into broader child protection initiatives             Reporting: Report weekly/monthly to the Project Manager and Youth Support Officer on the activities implementation progress; Meeting: Be available to participate in meetings in the INTERSOS Center of the area of work or in Tyre INTERSOS Office. Be available for eventual trainings provided by INTERSOS and provide technical support to the social workers, team leaders, case workers, community mobilizers through punctual training and coaching identifying lessons learned and best gateways to reach the projects’ PSS outcomes. Meet with other INTERSOS projects’ staff as required: conduct punctual meetings for sharing ideas, priorities with projects’ teams’ members.

Qualifications: - The qualified candidate must be a mental health specialist or social worker with extensive psychosocial programming experience; or equivalent degree with 3+ years in setting up or implementing psychosocial programs; - In depth knowledge of Psychosocial programming in the humanitarian context; - 3+ year experience implementing Child Friendly Spaces, Youth Centers, Case Management, Psychosocial programming; - Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support In Emergency Settings; - Familiarity with CP Minimum Standard in Emergency; - Training experience required; - Strong organizational and supervisory skills with excellent reporting & writing skills; - Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills; - An excellent command of verbal and written English; - Good knowledge word and excel; - Driving license holder; - The selected candidate is expected to daily conduct field visit in order to guarantee a daily coaching to the project staff;
