Storekeeper

  Responsibilities and tasks:   · Handles current store-keeping activities for ICRC small/medium operation and/or for specific sectors, including store organization · Executes simple administrative tasks · Carries out stock rotation by FIFO /FEFO to ensure no product expire on the stock or become obsolete. · Makes ensure loading is done on clean carries e.g. trucks, trailers, containers taking into consideration the nature of goods and take necessary precautions. · Ensures enough space in warehouse for the incoming shipments according to pipeline · Supervises cleaners to ensure good housekeeping to eliminate dust that corrodes packing hence cause deterioration of products. · Supervises the offloading operations and count the goods according to documents from the suppliers and report to his supervisor if there is any damage or lose of the receiving goods. · Prepares outgoing goods in dispatch area according to plan of action and Requisitions Orders. · Provides weekly physical count on all items stored in Warehouse. · Ensures proper storage and stacking to avoid collapse of stacks that may cause injury to personnel and damage to property. · Replaces absent colleagues as required. · Makes sure that the warehouse are secure, locked, safe and report what may consider irregularity to his supervisor · Takes all necessary precaution for ensuring security and safety and prevention of damage to the stored goods. · Performs any other appropriate task requested by his supervisor. Minimum required knowledge & experience: 3 years experience in a similar function. Good knowledge of English. Sense of organization.
