Position                    Program Coordinator – Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) Program in Lebanon   Location                   Beirut, Lebanon with frequent travel in Lebanon, particularly to areas in Beirut, Mount Lebanon and North Lebanon   About RI:                  Relief International (RI), an international relief and development agency with cross-sectoral programs bridging emergency assistance, early recovery and development, is active in responding to the Syria crisis in the region, including Lebanon, with multi-sectoral emergency programming targeting the most vulnerable.   Position Summary:   RI will imminently launch a comprehensive program for SGBV protection and assistance targeting vulnerable populations in the areas of Beirut, Mount Lebanon and North Lebanon, and is seeking a Program Coordinator.   The program is a multi-sectoral intervention involving multiple organizations and actors from the refugee community, NGO and inter-government implementing partners, and other national and international organizations providing related services. The SGBV Program Coordinator will complement the expertise of the SGBV Program Manager and provide technical support for implementing and coordinating the numerous trainings that will take place throughout the life of the project, as well as liaising with other programs and coordination bodies in Lebanon. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the SGBV Program Manager and the SGBV Monitoring and Evaluation in Officer on planning each training, including ensuring that they meet UNICEF requirements and have proper methods in place for ensuring adequate monitoring and evaluation   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: In collaboration with the SGBV Program Manager , provide technical leadership related to project design and development, planning implementation, and overall project management of the SGBV program. Ensure the availability of essential, life-saving SGBV response interventions, including comprehensive case management, psychosocial support/mental health services, legal assistance (if applicable), and capacity-strengthening of local service providers, in line with international standards. Provide ongoing oversight, training, and guidance to staff to ensure GBV programming meets best practice standards and prioritizes the safety and security of beneficiaries and staff. Provide ongoing technical support and mentorship for the GBV team leaders and mobilizers to develop professional and technical competency. Provide technical feedback on monthly narrative reports received from the GBV program staff, ensuring that established program targets and objectives are met. Ensure all internal and external narrative reports are of good quality and completed on time, promoting good understanding about projects with donors, other sectors, partners, and communities.   QUALIFICATIONS &REQUIREMENTS: This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment. Master’s degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Public Health, International Human Rights, Gender Studies…) or Bachelors degree with commensurate work experience; Expertise in gender, women’s rights and human rights; At least 5 years practical experience in development programming at international or national level. Ability to lead teams and mentor staff; Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required; English and Arabic fluency required; Strong English writing skills required; Experience with vulnerable populations, including immigrant and refigee populations and SGBV survivors; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently; Experience working with refugee populations in emergency response context a plus; Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.   Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.   Application Procedure: To be considered for this recruitment, please submit a cover letter, resume, salary history, 3 professional supervisory references with the date of availability.   Incomplete applications will not be considered.
