Database And Hotline Officer

Accion Contre el Hambre – Spain, is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated full time Data and Hotline Officer to collaborate in the implementation humanitarian interventions to support vulnerable refugee (and also local) communities.   Assignment: The Database and Hotline Officer has to operate and maintain the database, data collection/backup hardware and the hotline of the concerned projects. The officer has to provide advice and design suitable technological alternatives to existing tools used for data management as per request of his/her direct manager. The officer has to develop good overview of the data collected in the field and be ready to interrupt data collection (in coordination with direct supervisor). The officer needs to ensure good use of the hotline.  The Database and Hotline Officer will work closely with Monitoring and Evaluation Officers and the Field Officers. Minimum skills required Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken, written and read) required, sound knowledge in data collection, good skills in database management and very good computer skills in Excel other database software is required.   General skills required: Previous experience in managing data collected through Android device, motivation to work with humanitarian organizations, motivation in capacity increasing, ability to work as part of a team, good interpersonal qualities and diplomacy, ability to work under pressure, ability to work long hours and extra days upon request.   Language skills: Fluency in Arabic and English required.   Other Able to work and travel in Lebanon without exclusion. Due to the specific context and the sensitiveness of the topics, females are especially encouraged to apply.   Main tasks: -          Operate and maintain ACF’s database -          To operate and maintain M&E hardware -          To provide data analysis in coordination with M&E officers and project manager -          To support the implementation and monitoring of the data management aspects of the project -          To ensure good sue of the project hotline including recording of all received hotline calls. -          To conduct field visits to ensure good coordination and communication with field staff -          To support other project activities upon request of direct supervisor -          To coordinate and communicate with other M&E departments upon request of direct supervisor   Due to the emergency context, the field officer can be requested to participate to any other food security and cash based interventions identified according to the humanitarian needs.
