Livelihoods Project Assistant - Sarafand, South Lebanon

Within its Emergency Livelihoods support program, IOM will implement a Cash for Work project in the Union of  Zahrani municipalities directed to vulnerable Syrian and Lebanese. Under the overall Supervision of the Chief of Mission, the technical Supervision of the Livelihoods officer in Beirut, and in close coordination with the Sub-office Emergency Team, the incumbent will be responsible for the daily technical planning, supervision, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project and for ensuring proper coordination with the community and municipalities. 1)      Management and oversight of the Cash for Work project, to ensure that it is completed within the given timeline and achieves the stated objectives; 2)      Support the design and planning process for the project; 3)      Coordinate with the IOM Livelihood department and municipalities in the identification of suitable Cash for Work initiatives; 4)      Participate on the identification and selection of project beneficiaries; 5)      Participate in identification and selection of an appropriate cash transfer service provider; 6)      Ensure that the weekly and monthly work plan is respected in the field; 7)      Liaise with the Livelihoods department, Logistics and Administration department regarding financial projections, procurement, payments and necessary documentation. 8)      Manage, supervise and monitor the field officer staff under his/her supervision; 9)      Represent the Organization in relevant meetings in the area of pertinence as requested; 10)  Participate in staff training to build the technical capacity of staff and associates in the area of Cash for Work; 11)  Assist to organize and run weekly and monthly coordination meetings; 12)  Draft weekly and monthly reports; 13)  Report issues and constraints arising from project implementation; 14)  Identify areas for possible project improvement; 15)  Analyze project data; 16)  Undertake other duties as assigned.
