PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Department is a sub-department within the Operations department and is committed to implementing and maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and integrity in the HR services, namely; HR Administration, Policy Implementation, Recruitment, Selection and Placement & Organizational Development, Capacity Building and Career Development for Mercy Corps in Lebanon.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Officer-Personnel & Administration- is mainly tasked with maintaining the MC Lebanon’s Personnel information and complying with the Lebanese Labor Law.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain & update Personnel file information as per Mercy Corps International standards
Coordinate leaves, transfers & replacements with the line managers as per MC International standards; update and maintain leave tracking database as needed.
Issuing employee certificates & others
Ensure compliance with Lebanese Labor Law, MC International rules & regulations and policies & procedures
Report employee timesheets to the finance department
Enroll employees in NSSF & the MoF. Familiar with the reporting forms of NSSF (employee registration and separation) and the reporting form of MoF (R1-3, R3 & R4 forms).
Enroll new hires in the MC Lebanon Insurance Program and suggest alternative insurance plans for MC Lebanon team
Follow up on the schooling program as per Lebanese Labor Law
Participate in salary and benefits surveys; to include cooperating with other INGOs; gathering information; performing analysis and making recommendations
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Good understanding in the Lebanese Labor Law
Well organized and detail oriented
