Driver

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Logistics Officer. The incumbent will perform the following duties:   Drive RET vehicles for the transport of authorized passengers and delivery and collection of mail, documents, and other items; Ask each non-RET passenger, to sign a waiver of transport for all travel between cities; Meet official personnel at the airport; Perform day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles; check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc. and ensure that the RET vehicle are road worthy and maintained up to the established security standard; Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean; Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident; Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.; Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications:  Minimum 2 years of previous job experience relevant to the function Possess a valid driver’s license Have a good knowledge of driving rules and regulations Skills in minor vehicle repair desirable Perform functions in the most efficient manner, while remaining courteous and respecting RET’s principles of confidentiality; Respect all local traffic rules and regulations; Drive the vehicle only when his safety or security is not at risk; Decline to drive passengers not authorized to be in a RET vehicle. Languages:  Arabic: Essential English and/or French : Basic - Desirable,  but not essential
