General Description of Role:
Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be working under the direct supervision of the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager. She/he will be mainly responsible of gathering data, follow up on activities and reporting; as well ensure that all data from the field is captured and shared with the M&E Department.
Main Responsibilities:
Collect and systemize information on progress of the sectors of each activity of the project being implemented by RI
Ensure that all data fits into the RI logframes and indicator breakdowns
Provide assistance in training, monitoring and evaluation, data collection, surveys, data clarity and data delivery
Coordinate closely and on a daily basis with the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager on all data collection, data entry and data analysis
Assist in analyzing and compiling data to measure the progress and impact of projects’ activities
Liaise with Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and Field Staff for field-visits
Conduct regular field-visits and submits the necessary field-reporting documentation
Assists Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in the collection and segregation of data from field
Ensure that all field data is captured and segregated
Responsible for the submission of all field-data pertaining to the weekly SitRep and monthly reports
Coordinate with the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in ensuring that all field-data is collected in a timely and efficient manner
Assists in the implementation of 'Needs Assessments' conducted
Updates all data-bases for all program activities
Ensures that all data is stored efficiently
Translates documents from English to Arabic; and vice-versa
Reports to the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager
Any additional tasks requested
Required Qualifications:
This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
Bachelor Degree in social sciences, and psychology or any other related field
A minimum 1 to 2 years experience in reporting position preferably with Local or International NGOs.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Good command of Excel and Microsoft Word preferred; as well as in SPSS and Access.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic & English is a must
Desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility are desired characteristics.
