We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who supports the functioning of collective centre committees with a particular attention to vulnerable groups and/or persons.
Who are we
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

Duties
Facilitate the establishment and support the functioning of center’s Committees related to all community service areas.
Provide regular feedback to DRC management on refugees’ needs and concerns on and in the centres run by DRC.
Follow up the adequate maintenance of side infrastructure, the agreed delivery of services and protection by all partners.
Coordinate and advocate with other partners when gaps or duplication are identified.
Represent DRC in giving verbal or written warning in case of breach of Collective Centre rules.
Engage DRC management and other relevant stakeholders (UNHCR, Municipality, etc.) to effect the eviction of a resident or HH from the Collective Centre when needed.
Organize and ensure a timely, proper written weekly reporting and report daily if needed on problems faced.
All other tasks relevant to your work that might be asked by your line manager.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have a university degree; preferably related to social work with Minimum 2 years of work experience in relevant field.
Ideally you will also have experience in managing community centers and development projects or community mobilization and experience in Emergency work.
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until end of July 2014, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from May 2014 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli/ Lenanon.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. Basic Salary: 1505 USD
