We are looking for a highly qualified candidate supervising the provision of prevention and response services to women and girls and practicularly gender-based violence survivors. Who are we DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job supervising the provision of prevention and response services to women and girls and practicularly gender-based violence survivors.   Duties Support GBV staff through the provision of technical support and guidance. Ensure that staff implement and respect best-practice and international standards in GBV prevention and response Understand and follow up on activities  and assess progress of implementation, provide solutions and report issues when needed, Support Protection manager in the submission of internal and donors reports as per schedule; Contribute to the overall protection/CS weekly/monthly report underlining protection issues and related trends and figures in coordination with the Protection Manager; Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders           and service providers; Coordinate program implementation through regular meetings with donors and all other local and international actors; Oversee case management (including follow up on referrals and action plans) and support services provided to GBV survivors (awareness sessions, emotional support sessions, vocational training, mid-way house);   About you To be successful in this role you must have a Bachelor degree in Social work or any other related field in addition to a 2 to 3 years experience with NGO in similar fields. Ideally you will also have a master degree in gender studies, social work or psuchology with previous experience with INGO and Syrian refugees in Lebanon. You must be available to start work from May 2014 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
