Senior Case Worker (Gbv) - Baalbek

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated GBV Senior Caseworker for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa.     Who are we? DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties Staff supervision Supervision and support of GBV caseworkers through provision of technical guidance; Assist the GBV Officer in ensuring staff implement international best-practice GBV response standards; Monitor the implementation of the gender-based violence information management system (GBV IMS), and compile/analyze data in compliance with the information sharing protocol; Review all GBV cases and develop clear systems for supervision of case management; Create and promote positive work relationship within the team in coordination with the GBV manager.   Grant implementation and reporting Support GBV Officer in the submission of internal /donors reports;  Prepare/submit weekly and monthly work plans in a timely manner to GBV Officer; Support implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report issues related to program implementation; Participate in supervisory meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care and appropriate case management   Coordination and representation Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers; Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service provider mapping and ensure that caseworkers are familiar with service provision information; Receive inter-agency referrals, including provision of feedback to DRC managers and other agencies when necessary (maintaining confidentiality); Liaise with relevant stakeholders and advocate to address gaps in GBV response, referrals and services; Work closely with the child protection team when GBV cases involve child survivors, particularly when assessing best interest of the child; Organize case management meetings with service providers when needed;   Technical support Oversee case management including follow up of action plans; Oversee implementation of counseling and psychosocial support to women and girls, caring for child survivors, and support services provided to GBV survivors in safe spaces, (awareness sessions, emotional support sessions, etc,); Develop and support adherence to gender-based violence response protocols (case management, referral pathway, etc.); Assess gaps in service provision and request capacity-building support from GBV national coordinator;   Others Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the GBV Officer or by the Protection Manager.   About you a)      Essential qualifications: § Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field;  § Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times; § Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility. § Flexibility in working overtime when needed; § Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel); § Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well. § Ability to provide technical support, trainings and supervision of GBV case workers;   b)      Essential experience: At least 3-4 years of experience in counseling survivors of gender-based violence or vulnerable women and girls; We offer An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world.
