Senior Project Officer

The CRS office in Lebanon is currently looking for a Senior Project Officer (SPO) who will assume responsibility for working with the local partners in support of the assigned humanitarian relief, recovery and development projects in Lebanon and other countries in the Arab region. Under the supervision of a Project Manager, the SPO will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring implementation of project activities as per detailed implementation plan and will serve as the main contact person between the Project Manager and the local partners/field officers. The SPO will work in part with local partners in the field in order to resolve concerns, questions and challenges that they may confront and ensure that project implementation is progressing towards the achievement of project objectives. The SPO will also work on providing technical support to implementing partners in all geographical areas as assigned. This approach also includes strengthening and developing local partner capacities to respond to the needs of communities and CRS/local partner target beneficiaries. The SPO will also participate in the design of projects and will be required to conduct field visits in Lebanon and in the Arab region.   Specific requirements: * Lebanese citizenship; * Excellent English and Arabic, including writing (French is a plus); * Availability to travel abroad up to 25% of the working time; * Immediate availability.
