Purpose:
This study is being commissioned to systematically collect and document experiences and learning from project staff and beneficiaries to test underlying programmatic assumptions and better inform future implementation of this programme model in Lebanon and other contexts where the IRC works. Mixed methodologies will be adopted in this study: i) primary data collection using qualitative Key Informant Interviews and ii) use of secondary data collected in project monitoring. The 3 key questions that will be answered by this study are to what extent participation in the Women and Girls’ Community Centre activities, and more specifically in group psychosocial activities and emotional support groups, has helped clients to:
Build supportive networks within their communities;
Develop or strengthen coping mechanisms;
Have an increased sense of safety and security.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the WPE Coordinator and WPE M&E and Training Officer to develop study tools
Conduct interviews with 62 key informants
Transcribe and code interviews electronically according to predefined evaluation framework
Analyze data in real time and draft study report incorporating feedback from IRC team
Deliverables/Outputs:
Set of interview tools – IRC staff questionnaire, beneficiaries questionnaire, coding matrix
62 completed and coded questionnaires
Final report including, but not limited to, the following sections:
Introduction and purpose of the study
Methodology
Demographic information about respondents
Findings
Recommendations

Conditions:
The research team will work with close technical supervision from the WPE Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and overall technical oversight from the WPE Coordinator, with support from the Research & Evaluation Manager based in London. All reports and materials produced will be property of the IRC.
Qualifications:MA degree in Social Science, Research Methods, Social Work or related field
Experience in quantitative and qualitative research
Understanding of psychosocial programming and gender based violence programming
Field experience in Lebanon
Proficiency in MS Office
