Field Officer (Field Supervisor)

  INTERSOS is an independent humanitarian aid organization committed to helping and supporting endangered populations, victims of wars and natural disasters. INTERSOS works in Lebanon in the framework of the Syrian refugee crisis, amongst other with funding of the Italian Cooperation (COOPITA) for the Improvement of the living conditions of vulnerable Syrian families in South Lebanon. The project aims to ensure safe and secure accommodation to 85 Syrian refugee HH (registered, pending registration and non-registered) whether hosted in or renting private apartments/houses which are severely UNDER-standard from the WASH point of view in Hasbaya districts (Hasbaya and Harkoub). Key responsibilities and duties: - Liaise with local authorities and other stakeholders in the field; - Negotiate with land lords on terms and conditions of the rehabilitations; - Conduct technical assessments: identify the needs for latrines, toilets, bathrooms or water supply system rehabilitation or construction; - Supervise and organise the rehabilitation activities on site: specify the work to be performed, supervise the work to ensure that minimum standards are respected and that the construction works are completed on time, ensure distribution and/or installation of WASH items, namely water tanks or others, provide beneficiaries with guidance on maintenance of WASH items installed; - Ensure the safety of workers / beneficiaries; - Coordinate with other INTERSOS field officer(s) working in Hasbaya; - Report on activity implementation progress to project manager; - Collect data on the beneficiaries and implementation progress and final achievements
; - Monitor and report on the terms of contract especially the delivery performance; - Data processing and analysis; - Conduct permanent and realistic risk assessment and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.   Qualifications, experience and skills: Education degree: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation - Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience - Experience in conducting procurement procedure - Knowledge of WASH standards and WASH systems and technology - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Languages: excellent Arabic language (mother language) and very good English language skills Holder of driver licence, min 1 year   APPLICATION PERIOD: closure @ 4 PM on 24/03/2014 Pre-selection and invitation for interviews will be done from the 25/03/2014 to the 28/03/2014 Interviews will be conducted from  31/03/2014 untill  the 2 /4/2014  in Sour office.   Please send CV and Motivation letter to hr.lebanon@intersos.org, mentioning clearly the position ‘Field Officer Hasbaya and Arkoub’ in the subject of the e-mail.
