Logistics & Procurement Assistant - Baalbek

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Logistics and Procurement  Assistant for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa. Who are we?DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties•Assess Logistics & Procurement needs (stationery, maintenance, supplies,…) for DRC Office & Guest House •Negotiate prices & contracts with suppliers•Make sure that all procedures are followed according to DRC standards•Periodic checks for the loading/unloading of goods •Assist during distributions when needed•Update regularly the assets list•Purchase and supply, in a timely and cost-effective manner  •Update regularly the suppliers database  About youTo be successful in this role you must have social work experiences and be able to work under pressure. In addition, flexibility in terms of working hours and working locations is essential.
