1.Maintenance of ledgers and accounting records for classification and recording of financial transactions and for the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of recurring or special reports.2. Ensure the proper selection and recording of data from a wide variety of documents, verifying accuracy by checking sources, making necessary calculations and assuring inclusion of all relevant data.3. Assist with monitoring local compliance with UNHCR’s policies and processes for cash management, requesting support and guidance when required.4. Advises and assists international staff, experts and consultants on all respects of allowances, salary advances, travel claims, financial matters and calculates and authorizes payments due for claims and services.5. Liaises and maintains constant coordination with officials of local banks to obtain daily information regarding accounts, financial transactions, exchange and interest rates.6. Ensures successful migration to online banking platform of salaries, travel expenses, financial transactions, ledgers and other financial records.7. Establishes constant liaison with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure that VAT submissions are effected accordingly.8. Initiate correspondence to verify data, answer queries and obtain additional information on accounts and financial transactions, as required.9. Prepares detailed cost estimates and participates in budget analysis and projections as required.10. Participation in multi-functional tasks that would enhance the efficiency of the UNHCR operation.11. Perform other duties as required.
