MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS OF THE POSITION
Under the close supervision of the Basic Needs Technical Advisor, you will be in charge of:
1- ENSURING THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO BASIC NEEDS TEAMS
Activities:
- Ensuring a regular technical support to Basic Needs Teams in the area of vulnerability analysis, cash transfer and distribution activities;
- Ensuring a regular evaluation of the technical tools and documents used at field level, and the understanding of those tools by the Basic Needs Teams (assessment and distribution);
- Ensuring a quality data collection by Basic Needs Teams during assessment phase;
- Ensuring regular trainings to the Basic Needs Teams to build skills and capacity;
- Collaborating in elaboration of any technical tools and documents used at field level by BN Teams;
- Participating in the implementation of a quality programming by conducting regular field visits;
- Participating to project meetings upon request;
- Proposing changes, updates and improvements of relevant basic needs activities according to the HI strategy;
- Proposing changes, updates and/or implementation of relevant technical tools according to the needs.
2- ENSURING THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO MONITORING TEAMS
Activities:
- Ensuring a regular technical support to M&E Teams;
- Ensuring a regular evaluation of the technical tools and documents used at field level, and the understanding of those tools by the M&E Teams;
- Ensuring a quality data collection by M&E Teams;
- Ensuring regular trainings to M&E Teams to build skills and capacity;
- Collaborating in elaboration of any technical tools and documents used at field level by M&E Teams;
- Participating in the implementation of a quality programming by conducting regular field visits;
- Participating to monitoring meetings upon request;
- Proposing changes, updates and improvements of relevant basic needs activities according to the HI strategy;
- Proposing changes, updates and/or implementation of relevant technical tools according to the needs.
3- ENSURING THE LINKAGE WITH THE CSC BANK
Activities:
- Ensuring the compilation and the follow-up of installments;
- Ensuring the compilation and dissemination of Bank reports to the Basic Needs Program Managers on a daily basis;
- Ensuring the management and the follow up of complaints received at Beirut level by liaising with the Hotliners and CSC Bank.
4- ENSURING REGULAR REPORTING
Activities:
- Ensuring regular reporting on your activities to your line manager upon his/her request;
- Ensuring regular reporting to Basic Needs Teams with feedbacks, advices and clear recommendations;
- Ensuring the monthly report (SITREP) to your line manager;
- Ensuring the elaboration of guidelines, mainstreaming documents and protocols;
- Collecting, following and analyzing the data related to Basic Needs and M&E activities in close collaboration with the Program Officer Support.
5- ENSURING HI REPRESENTATION AND COORDINATION WITH EXTERNAL ACTORS
Activities:
- Ensuring trainings of external actors and partners according to the needs and upon your line manager request;
- Participating to external working groups and other meetings gathering relevant stakeholders upon your line manager request;
- Collaborating with external partners.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Professional background
At least 1 previous experience in humanitarian context, preferably in emergency response ;
Previous experience in training/capacity building and coaching would be an asset;
Previous professional experience in cash transfer program or in-kind distribution would be an asset.
