Marketing & Communications Coordinator

POSITION CONCEPT: This position is responsible for strengthening and growing the image of INJAZ in Lebanon. The person will develop and run the annual marketing/ communication strategy in coordination with the Development Advisor and the INJAZ Lebanon team, including the creation/update of marketing collateral, the ongoing development of the organization’s online communication and the maintaining/expanding of media relations.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:        Marketing Collateral Creates/ updates communications materials, such as brochure, flyer and annual report.  Conceives and manages production of quarterly newsletter with assistance from appropriate staff.  Provide regional office with relevant information for regional newsletter. Gathers regular testimonials from stakeholders including students, volunteers, school representative and corporations to feed into IL’s communication strategy. In coordination with program team. Gather outcome of program surveys and evaluation to feed into communication strategy Develops photographic and video files to be used in marketing collateral and online communication.  Develop marketing collateral as needed for events such as posters and flyers in coordination with marketing agency. Support in reporting on INJAZ different activities when needed. Support in producing written materials including proposals when needed. Ensure that marketing and communication collaterals are always in line with JAW guidelines. Media Relations Develop creative media and communication strategies for events in line with INJAZ Lebanon messages, assessing risks and opportunities. Enhance INJAZ relationships with the media to maximize profile and positive coverage of all INJAZ activities Hold, develop and maintain credible relationships with key journalists Develop media friendly communication materials such as press kits. Draft press releases for INJAZ various events or partnerships in both English and Arabic. Dispatch/ follow up on the press release to the different media outlets. Monitor news media coverage of INJAZ Lebanon, and maintain an updated media database. Online Communication (Website and Social Media) Manage/update INJAZ website, and social media platforms through regular updates in alignment with INJAZ corporate identity guidelines.    Others  Represent INJAZ Lebanon at external events as required Prepare annual strategy for the Marketing/Communication department. Assist in developing a budget for all marketing/ communications related activities. Prepare monthly report.     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education and qualifications: -          University degree in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or Communication Arts -          2-3 years of experience in related field of Communications   Experience: -          Networking and communication activities (at national, regional and international level). -          Working with/knowledge of press, TV, radio at a national level. -          Developing/editing corporate communication documents for public dissemination -          Drafting articles and managing a website. -          Working with social media.   Skills: -          Fluent in both English and Arabic, spoken and written. -          Excellent interpersonal and networking skills. -          Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -          Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize workload, proactive approach to meeting deadlines with limited            supervision. -          Excellent presentation skills. -          Knowledge of design software (preferred) -          Knowledge of video editing (preferred)
