Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant (North)

As part of the Emergency Distribution Project, composed of 8,000 winterization kits for children aged 1 day to 14 years old in Informal Tented Settlements (ITS) in North Lebanon - T5 area (Tripoli, Batroun, Koura, Minyeh/Dinniyeh, Bcharri, Zgharta), the Monitoring  & Evaluation Assistant will be responsible for the collection of mapping results from the field staff and the follow up on activities and reporting. The Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant will be based in Relief International's Office in Koura and is under the direct supervision of the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager and reports directly to him.   The tasks will include but not be limited to: Main Responsibilities Collects and systemizes information on progress of the mapping and distribution activities of the project. Provides assistance in training, monitoring and evaluation, data collection, interviews, surveys, data clarity and data delivery. Coordinates closely and on a daily basis with the Emergency Distribution Project Coordinator for better understanding of the project objectives and activities. Coordinates closely and on a daily basis with the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager on all data collection, data entry and data analysis Analyzes and compiles data to measure the progress and impact of projects’ activities Prepares and submits success stories of the projects’ activities Assists in preparing weekly and monthly reports; with the submission of data segregated per age, gender, vulnerability status, and other required criteria. Makes sure that the mapping mechanism is conducted as agreed upon with the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager and the Project Coordinator for maximum mapping efficiency. Ensures that all database components are handled with care and extreme confidentiality. Refers to the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager and the Project Coordinator on any decision making or modifications that alters the initial implementation process. Represents the organization in a professional and respectful manner. Ensures project activities are in compliance with RI policies. Ensures that all project activities and implementation procedures are conducted in a manner free of corruption or questionable practices. Other related tasks as agreed upon with the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager and the Project Coordinator.   Position requirements: This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment. Bachelor Degree in social sciences, and psychology or any other related field A minimum 2 to 3 years experience in reporting position preferably with Local or International NGOs. Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Fluency in written and spoken Arabic & English is a must Desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility are desired characteristics.  National staff are required for this position
