Communications Consultancy
The Legal Agenda is seeking to hire a Consultant in Communications to assist the Program Manager in developing and implementing a communications and visibility strategy for the Legal Agenda’s Project entitled: “Civil observatory for the independence and transparency of the judiciary”. The Communications Consultant will report directly to the Project Manager.
The Legal Agenda is a Beirut-based non-governmental non-profit organization that addresses issues of legal activism, reform, and transformation in the context of social and political change in the Arab world.
Responsibilities
- Develop a communication and visibility strategy for the Legal Agenda’ Project, in close coordination with the Project Manager.
- Liaising with the Legal Agenda’s partners and stakeholders as relevant for the communication
- Manage and implement the communication and visibility around the Legal Agenda’s events (including seminars, workshops, conferences)
- Advising the Project Manager and partners on targeted communication strategy relevant developments, and implementing where necessary the strategy
Related skills and experience
Experience: Graduate in media studies, communications, public policy, with at least 4 years’ experience in communications and outreach.
Skills:
- Strong networking with local and international media based in Lebanon
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a team
- Strong written and spoken Arabic and English, French a plus
Contract: total of 20 days starting March 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.
