Position:                     Medical Doctor   Reports to:                 Supervisor of RI Mobile Team   Location:                    Multiple locations in Lebanon   About RI:                   Relief International (RI), an international relief and development agency with cross-sectoral programs bridging relief and development currently seeks Medical Doctors for RI’s health and nutrition programming in Lebanon in response to the Syria crisis.     Position Summary: The Medical Doctor will be responsible for management of the day-to-day curative and preventive activities of the mobile teams for RI's health and nutrition program in Lebanon, focusing on Syrian refugees and vulnerable host communities. The Doctor will identify critically sick patients that are in need of referral to higher health facility and refer the cases. The Medical Doctor will be responsible for the work of the mobile team, including the management of the staff, security issues, supervision of the driver and report all problems related to the work, security and staff to the supervisor.         Main Duties and Responsibilities:   To manage mobile team operation and health staff of the mobile team within the refugees’ locations   On a daily basis, supervise the implementation of Relief International’s health services through mobile team. Provide professional technical input and advice regarding all aspects of RI health services provided by mobile team. Responsible for the maintenance of all weekly reporting by team.  Manage the mobile teams in remote operation areas when it is necessary. Closely monitor curative and other aspects of the health services provided by the staff of the mobile team;  improving the quality of health services provided by staff through daily monitoring their work and giving recommendations of health staff training and correction of mistakes during diagnosis and prescription. The medical doctor will ensure provision of quality basic PHC services to refugees. Monitor and evaluate the quality of services by each health employee through Quality Assurance Check Lists and make recommendations to improve output. Provide professional technical input in complicated cases and referrals to the referral health facilities. Only medical doctor will refer critically ill patients to a higher facility level. Ensure availability of all supplies and equipment needed for mobile team and submit weekly request for drugs and supplies to Program Manager. Hold weekly meetings with mobile team staff to identify their needs and constraints and inform the Program Manager. Attend meetings when requested. Strictly follow RI human resources and financial policies. Follow approved MOH and WHO guidelines and protocols in managing patients. Assist Program Manager in training activities when requested.   QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Share the humanitarian mission of the organization. Knowledge waste disposal and universal precautions procedures Ability to effectively communicate with a health and nutrition team Required medical certifications according to Lebanese law Proven experience in emergency health activities, including primary care, nutrition, and maternal and child health Work with vulnerable populations a plus Knowledge of target diseases, surveillance and early warning system reporting   Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
