KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation is a Lebanese non-profit, non-political, non-confessional civil society organization committed to work towards eradicating all forms of gender-based violence and exploitation of women and children through advocating for legal reform and change of policies and practices, influencing public opinion, and empowering women and children.
Since 2010, KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation runs a program focusing on the situation of migrant domestic workers (MDWs) in Lebanon. The main components of the program include: advocacy (in particular lobbying decision makers to introduce reforms, such as replacing the sponsorship system with an employment-based visa), awareness raising among the Lebanese public and MDWs, capacity building to empower MDWs, and socio-legal support to MDW victims of physical and sexual abuse.
KAFA is currently seeking a program coordinator to support its work on assisting and empowering migrant domestic workers in Lebanon.
Program Coordinator’s Duties
Oversee and manage the implementation of project activities, as well as manage the program team
Coordinate and oversee the implementation of conferences, workshops and community meetings
Liaise and coordinate with international donors, public entities and relevant stakeholders, migrant community members as well as other non-profit organizations operational in the area
Respond to media inquiries and represent KAFA in local and international conferences, forums, etc.
Prepare narrative and progress reports, both internal and to donors
Develop materials and conduct awareness raising sessions and training on the rights of MDWs targeting different groups as needed
Work closely with migrant community leaders and build their capacities to identify demands and needs and suggest ways to work
Assist in developing advocacy demands and strategies
Work occasionally nights and weekends to attend migrant community events or to organize activities for migrant domestic workers

Masters degree in relevant field (Humanities, Law, Migration and Gender studies, Arab Studies);
A minimum of four years NGO experience is required;
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and with people from diverse backgrounds;
Good knowledge of human rights and gender issues, and preferably migration;
Fluency in English and Arabic with good writing skills in both languages.
