Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.
Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
The key roles and responsibilities for the Adolescent & Youth Programme Officer are:
Rôles et responsabilités :Map existing services and activities currently being available for adolescents in the Bekaa
Support the identification of suitable sites/locations to conduct mobile and satellite youth activities
Support on the development of the youth mobilization strategy with the support of the Senior Community Mobilization Officer, and coordinating the youth mobilisers to effectively reach the target youth
Support the identification of consultants/trainers for the youth programme
Supervise the performance of all youth animators and consultants/trainers involved in the programme
Support the development of youth facilitators and youth mobilisers to deliver effective training and activities for youth
Support the development and delivery of trainings to youth, for example, on life skills and community mobilization
Ensure liaison with other relevant SC sectors as required
Ensure quality and minimum child protection standards are implemented and respected in all youth activities, including child safeguarding policy.
Ensure that materials are ordered and delivered to the youth activities in a timely manner
Establishing and maintaining a weekly and monthly work plan which will include weekly monitoring visits to all locations where youth activities are implemented
Write bi-weekly reports
Share information on field-level successes and challenges with line manager and youth focal point
Document best case practices and case studies

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in teaching, social work or social sciences
Extensive work experience of working directly with adolescents and youth
Extensive work experience in training and facilitation
Excellent communication skills with adolescents, youth and parents
Experience in project management and supervision of staff
Ability to write weekly and monthly reports
Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
