Assessment Team Leader - Zahle

Role and Responsibilities Working as an important member of a diverse team the employee will be responsible to 1) coordinate effectively with the distribution team leader in pass over of collected assessment data 2) oversee workload and programming of assessment assistants and data collection staff 3) oversee organization of assessment schedule for shelter kits and Non Food Items (NFI) in Informal Settlements (IS) 4) maintain organised assessment records and ensure timely reporting and associated monitoring & evaluation.   Project Overview The conflict in Syria has erupted into a full-scale civil war endangering lives in almost every community in the country. Desperate families, caught in the crossfire, are leaving everything behind and fleeing into neighbouring countries. Lebanon, one of these countries, has received a large influx of refugees from Syria. In response to the Syrian Crisis and the resulting influx of refugees into Lebanon, Medair is assessing and distributing shelter kits and NFI within ITS. The Shelter and NFI is a large part of the Medair Lebanon’s programming which also includes site planning and GIS mapping.    Medair Medair brings life-saving relief and rehabilitation in disasters, conflict areas, and other crises by working alongside the most vulnerable. Founded in 1989, Medair’s unwavering commitment continues to bring hope to the world’s most vulnerable.   Key Activity Areas Coordinate with the distribution team leader to ensure planning of assessment cycles are well organised and accurate and support the Oversee assessment of Shelter Kits and Non Food Items in Informal Tented Settlements Manage a team of Assessment Assistants and casual staff and ensure correct procedure during field assessments, cross check records on conclusion of distribution    Keep organized records and ensure timely reporting ensure all paper work is accurate and correctly stored, Keep updated records of distributions on computer Qualifications Academic studies in a relevant field. Languages Strong working knowledge of Arabic and English (spoken and written) Experience / Competencies Minimum 2 years NGO experience with field experience Attention to detailrequired Good working knowledge of geography and culture of the Bekaa Valley region  ProblemSolvingskills and positive attitude Strong leadership & communication skills Passionate about working as part of a dynamic and encouraging team Passionate about serving the poor Willing to support others and share workloads Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels
