Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:   KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:   Programme Support: With support from senior technical colleagues, carry out WASH assessments in coordination with other SCUK thematic areas and/or other external sector agencies, ensuring assessment findings are documented and that all assessments include a specific analysis of children’s needs. With support from senior technical colleagues, develop project implementation plans. With support from senior colleagues, support fundraising, including contributing to the development of high quality concept notes and proposals. With support from senior colleagues, performance manage technical staff and carry out training for identified WASH programme learning needs. Identify project supplies needs and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure materials arrive in good time. Carry out monitoring and evaluation of project activities as agreed in a monitoring and evaluation framework. Ensure that projects are carried out with participation from all relevant stakeholders, including disaster affected children and their families. Implement projects as set out in WASH project planning documents, flagging up both successes and risks to senior managers in a timely manner. With support from senior colleagues support the preparation of WASH programme and donor reports on project activities. Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures. Help be responsible for the security of all staff. Ensure that the security, health and well being of staff are ensured and staff management and other processes and policies and systems reflect SC UK's principles of equity and fairness. To perform such other responsibilities as agreed with your line management.     QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES     Required: Minimum 6 years of working experience, including minimum 4 years of working in WASH-related humanitarian programmes Previous experience of working effectively as part of a WASH project team Commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation Commitment to capacity building and developing others Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports Excellent communication skills Strong influencing skills Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances. Commitment to the aims and principles of SC UK.
