Project Officer - Waj

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project implementation support: •Conduct administrative activities to support the preparation of national and regional events, including training, workshops and conference. •Prepare payment requests, floats as needed. •Uploading all relevant documents in OPAL •Provide efficient, effective administrative support e.g. filing, typing and logistic to the Programme Manager. •Support in advertising, screening and recruitment process of external consultants. •Assist on other tasks as requested by the Programme Manager and as deemed necessary for programme development Partnership support: •Follow-up with partners on the agreed action plan, and ensure timely responses to partners, queries. •Combine and prepare first draft reports on Oxfam implemented activities and enhance learning. •Contribute to specific tasks as designated by the Programme Manager such as monitoring the effectiveness of the men's forum and the white ribbon campaign. •Assist in the preparation of partners' contracts, and amendments when deemed necessary. •Contribute to the periodic monitoring of the programme as well as the learning reviews and ensure proper documentation. •Conduct as needed trips to partners. •Capture learning and document the work of successful stories, to ensure that the programme inputs are producing positive results in the lives of women. •Combine and file all data received from partners. SKILLS & COMPETENCE: •University degree in social science or related discipline, including gender and development •At least 2 years of experiences in project administration and implementation with national and/or INGOs •Preferred experience in monitoring and evaluation •Experience in event management and coordination •Skilled in report writing •Excellent oral and written communication and writing skills in English and Arabic •Knowledge of gender and gender equality and relevance to poverty and vulnerability is an advantage •Knowledge and skills in computer usage including word, excel, power point, lotus notes and social media •Demonstrated capacity of social and communication skills and ability to work with others and as part of the team •Willingness and fitness to travel •Skills in organisation and time management •Ability to work under stress and in a team
