Community Mobilizer

General duties and responsibilities: -Promotes, facilitates and encourages the achievement of the planning objectives. -Ensures that INTERSOS activities are non biased, neutral and inclusive of all actors present in the project areas. -Works directly in the field with Municipalities and the whole community (refugee and host) of the project locations he/she is allocated to. -Facilitates, collects and reports information regarding the overall situation of the children and their families in the community, with specific attention paid to the project targeted children. -Identifies, networks and connects child protection resources to the child, community and community structures. -Supports and assists in the network mapping of resources specific to the locations he/she operates in. -Shares child protection resources and information both within the INTERSOS staff structure and the community he/she operates in. -Ensures a strict adherence to INTERSOS Child Protection Policy at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach, acts in the best. Specific duties and responsibilities: The Community Mobilizer is responsible in the arrangement, coordination and delivery of community awareness raising events and NFIs distributions as determined by project objectives: Awareness sessions about life-saving information and services availability starting from the registration, to education facilities, to shelter assistance, health care, access to birth certificate, GBV, etc. Hygiene and Dignity kit distributions Skills: -Strong communication skills and ability to work with local stakeholders -Highly motivated, proactive and positive attitude -Strong team spirit
