Community Center Manager - North

IMC will establish two community centers (one in the north and one in Bekaa) open to all, but with focused days and activities for women and adolescent girls to address specific vulnerabilities among these groups. The centers will serve as safe spaces where refugees and vulnerable groups can meet and benefit from a wide array of activities and services designed to: 1)      Increase access to information, including critical health and protection sector resources, through information sessions and information, education, and communication (IEC) materials; 2)      Connect refugees and vulnerable populations to needed service providers in the health, mental health and psychosocial, protection, and legal sectors through information and referrals; 3)      Provide appropriate recreational and skills-building opportunities geared toward strengthening support networks and fostering communication and social cohesion; 4)      Establish recreational and creative activities (Music, Theater, Art) for all age groups, with the primary focus of improving psychosocial well-being. 5)      Provide safe spaces for women and girls to report protection concerns and seek support; 6)      Establish referral mechanisms between community centers, IMC CM teams, PHCs and other services. Cases identified through the community center and requiring social and more specialized supports will be referred to the IMC case manager. 7)      Cases identified through CM teams will be referred to the community center to receive psychosocial support and empowerment services; 8)      Coordinate with UNHCR and its implementing partners, INGOs and local NGOs to ensure proper mapping of services provided by all actors; 9)      Assist in the successful implementation of Youth Community Protection Program (YCP), including learning sessions focused on life skills. Cohorts will also design and implement community service projects that address identified needs within their communities. 10)  Assist in the implementation of a parenting skills program within the community centers that will target parents and caregivers through modules that will be developed to improve their knowledge of child development and well-being, find solutions together for challenges they face, due to psychosocial and other effects of displacement and enhance their ability to care for their children in the current context.   The Community Center Manager will be leading on all activities in the center within the following:   I- Management of Project Implementation -          Plan, organize, manage, monitor and assess the implementation of the center activities in compliance with the project agreement and its objectives; -          Ensure smooth implementation, coordination and effective use of the available resources; -          Ensure refugee participation and integration; -          Lead the coordination of the centers activities and the project staff;   II- Financial management -          Manage, monitor and track expenses according to the budget; -          Make budget and purchase requests and reconcile expenditures on a monthly basis -          Ensure proper financial reporting and documentation including receipts and expenditures; -          Oversee petty cash available at the center   III- Networking -          Liaise with relevant NGOs, government agencies and national institutions in the area to maintain a network and cooperation in social, psychological and educational fields -          Represent IMC in coordination meetings with partners and NGOs -          Coordinate monitoring visits -          Receive visitors from donor agencies, embassies and other relevant stakeholders   Deliverables: -        Submit monthly progress reports to be sent to area officer manager; -        Prepare monthly financial report; -        Preapre monthly planning for the center’s activities;  Qualifications: -          Experience required: minimum of 5 years; -          Education degree: Bachelor Degree in social sciences, development or any related field; -          Fluent in spoken Arabic and good knowledge of English; -          Previous NGO experience and humanitarian work in a similar role; -          Good management, planning skills and willingness to take initiative; -          Good communication and teamwork skills; -          Strong leadership skills; -          Passion, Flexibility and a good sense of humor;
