Field Activities Coordinator

Purpose/objective of the position: The Field activities Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of the INTERSOS community services, protection monitoring and outreach activities in Bekaa. S/he will work in close cooperation with the International Project manager for the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all the project components. N. of positions: 1 Report to: International Project Manager Responsibilities/duties: Assist the International Project manager with the management and the safety of the staff, premises, materials and assets allocated to the project. Oversee the establishment and the running of the INTERSOS community centres, including management of the support staff and coordination with the program staff at the base level. Ensure that the INTERSOS procedures and the Donor regulations applicable to the project with regards to program, logistics, security, HR and administration are fulfilled. Establish mechanism to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the field activities and ensure coordination and info sharing among the community centres, the mobile teams staff and the project stakeholders; Assist the International project manager, in close cooperation with the national Finance assistant, with the planning, authorization and reporting of the expenses at field level. Supervise, gather and delivery the financial requests from the field, ensuring transparency and accountability of the procedures and cost-effectiveness for the goods and the services received. Regularly assess field staff performance, needs and eventual gaps during project implementation and under the supervision of the Project manager facilitate corrective measures and propose eventual new interventions; Supervise data collection, verify source of information and prepare timely and accurate Project progress reports as assigned; Represent the organization at the Bekaa regional level, including general meetings with donors, humanitarian actors and local authorities as well as sector program meetings, when requested. Skills/Competences: A minimum Bachelor degree preferably in Development studies, Social sciences, International relations, Business & Management or other equivalent field of studies; 3 - 5 years of work experience in humanitarian sector for local or international NGOs, preferably in projects and programs funded by UNHRC or other UN agencies; Proven experience of collaborating with a range of external organisations – CBOs, CSOs, international NGOs, local government bodies; Proven Experience of implementing and developing systems and processes for participatory monitoring, reporting & evaluation, program reviews / assessments; Excellent leadership, interpersonal, numeracy, analytical, and communication skills; Ability to team building, prioritize all tasks, challenge and critique productively toward problem solving, goal setting, quality and time management. Good  computer literacy, primarily Word, Excel and Power point; Fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory.
