Psychomotor therapy is concerned with the regular and irregular development of motor competencies (movement, coordination, balance).
The therapist provides individual and/or group therapy based on the assessment’s outcomes. During therapy various types of play, movements, sensory exercises, and music are used to enable the child to compensate for deficits, improve the motor skills, deal with difficulties, and enhance self-confidence. The psycho-motor therapy is aligned with the psychomotor goals agreed in the parent-teacher talks held to evaluate the child's current level, personal areas for development, and capacities.
