DOT transforms and supports young women and men, as they become leaders of economic and education change in their societies. DOT is launching its education program Teach Up! (TU!), and to support its launch, DOT Lebanon is seeking to hire Area Managers.   Position Description: As an Area Manager, you will work to support the launch and sustainability of the DOT TU! program in Lebanon through coaching and regular communication with Teacher Facilitators based at the premises of theire assigned school. You will work on the DOT Lebanon country team and take your direction from the Program Manager.   Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include: Guide and support the Teacher Facilitators in assessing the school infrastructure, its ICT environment and personnel · Training, managing and coaching of around 12 Teachers Facilitators working in 6-8 schools · Mentor and coach teacher facilitators to resolve issues and challenges as they arise during their assignments · Ensure that teacher facilitators are consistently fulfilling their roles, completing program delivery tasks and achieving milestones Ensure that teacher facilitators develop and apply the skills they need to drive successful implementation of the DOT TU! program in their communities. · Work with the school partners to provide training infrastructure and logistics · Work with DOT and partners staff to launch and implement the TU! program · Submit needed reports and/or information in regards to the implementation, reporting of the program · Regular coordination with the Program Manager and Program Officer on weekly field visits, constraints, successes, recommendations, etc.. · Helps teachers facilitators to use the website effectively and create ‘digital educational resources (RED)’. · Support in the development and adaptation of student centered innovative digital projects · Regularly conducts workshops for teacher facilitators on new technology tools · Demonstrates a complex awareness of a variety of technology and subject-specific tools and applications · Regularly identifies technology tools to improve personal subject matter and pedagogical knowledge · Effectively identifies, collects, and analyzes relevant data, lessons learned, observation to form conclusions by working closely with the DOT monitoring team · Ensure that the teacher facilitators are utilizing the DOT online Community to upload knowledge and resources, best practices and actively engage in utilizing the information on the shared Education Resource Library intranet · Work closely with the Human Resources Team on the recruitment and orientation for new Teachers Facilitator. · Undertake other duties assigned by the Program Manager.   Position Qualification & Skills Requirements: Minimum of master degree in the field of education, social sciences, or development Must have at least 5 years’ experience in the education or development work Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Excellent managerial, coaching and leadership skills. Good interpersonal and oral communication skills. Strong computer knowledge. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and efficient multi-tasker. This candidate can work independently in a fast-paced dynamic working environment.
