Community Service Associate - G6 - Hrs060 (Unhcr Contract)

Coordinate the individual case management process in all field locations, between UNHCR, partners and refugee communities. Keep heads of offices informed of the relevant findings/actions and activities undertaken.   Participate in Individual Case Management Committees or relevant coordination groups in order to strengthen the existing identification and response/referral systems.   Strengthen individual case management systems in coordination with field offices, government, NGO partners and others as needed. Coordinate and ensure linkages with SGBV and child protection case management systems.   Review and update existing individual case management procedures and referral guidelines in close consultation with the field, government, NGOs and relevant UN agencies.   Enhance referrals of identified persons between UNHCR, refugee focal points and partner organizations (implementing and operational partners, including government-affiliated institutions).   Identify organizations or groupings that are providing assistance and support services to refugees. Assist in advocating for inclusion of refugees into existing national or international programmes.   Participate in monitoring the delivery of UNHCR and other assistance especially to persons with specific needs (women, children, elderly, disabled persons).   Assist in planning and monitoring of programmes and budgets, with an AGD perspective.   Monitor the situation of refugees, identify issues that require particular attention, especially those related to persons with specific needs and propose interventions in the individual case and at the programmatic level;   Organize training sessions for UNHCR, NGO and other relevant agencies on the individual case management system, including specific needs definitions, referral processes, forms, counseling techniques etc. Engage in on-the-job training or coaching, as needed.   Facilitate in training activities/ workshops organized by the Community Services unit and any relevant activities that enhance implementation of the Age, Gender, and Diversity Mainstreaming approach and the community development approach in all aspects of UNHCR operation.    Improve the recording and documentation of cases through data management systems e.g. RAIS, proGres, Micro-soft Access, etc.   Contribute to the regular reporting requirements of the office and of community services unit. Maintain records and provide written updates and recommendations.   Support participatory assessments by multifunctional teams and on-going consultations with persons of concern.
