Construction Supervisor – Civil

Call for Interest: Construction Supervision Water Infrastructure Support and Enhancement for Lebanon (WISE-Lebanon) Project     Project Description: The (WISE-Lebanon) project is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) with the objective to enhance Lebanon’s capacity in the management of water resources through water infrastructure upgrades and related management support. Project implementation includes providing engineering, construction, procurement, and construction supervision/management services for the construction of selected water infrastructure projects.   Chemonics, a USAID contractor, intends to hire up to four construction supervisors for its water infrastructure construction subcontracts.   Qualification Requirements:   Construction Supervisor – Civil (3 vacancies): Education: Bachelor or Masters’ Degree in civil engineering (construction, water and sanitation), environmental engineering or associated fields. Experience: At least 7 years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering works (construction, designing, rehabilitation or supervision) with experience in supervision of at least two projects of similar size for urban water supply systems involving water supply network rehabilitation and improvement. Please indicate in the subject line which position you are applying for.   Remuneration Package: The compensation package will include salary, local health insurance, transportation allowance, cell phone expenses, and Lebanon Government mandated employer contribution to employee social security tax.  Note that proposed salary level is subject to USAID requirements governing determination of salary rates and must be approved by USAID.  In particular, a candidate must show a salary history dating back three years in order to qualify for these positions.    Period of Employment: Work may begin approximately 15th of October. The expected duration for implementation is specified in the TOR.
