Counselor - Masnaa

Basic Function: purpose and scope The counselors will provide counseling and assistance in response to the needs of refugees crossing the borders. The counselors will be responsible to provide information for refugees crossing the borders. Counselors with medical back grounds will provide first aids for refugees and refer cases to appropriate health facilities when needed. Counselors will also refer protection cases to UNHCR relative staff.  Duties performed:  Ensure daily presence at the border Welcoming the newly arrived Giving orientation and guidance as to where to register with UNHCR Provide new comers refugees with flyers and brochures Referring the refugees to the closest UNHCR registration center Provide first aids Provide needed information Refer cases in need of emergency health care services to appropriate heath facilities Report on daily basis to team leader Identifying vulnerable cases (elderly, disabled....)  and try to reduce their waiting period at the border.
