Field Officer

Experience in project management preferable with NGO background. Experience in community mobilization in a deprived context. Good knowledge of the area/region and its local customs. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills. Ability to plan and prioritize own workload. Strong monitoring and reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure. Computers: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet. Languages: Arabic, English and/or French. Driving licence. Support the selection and registration of project beneficiaries. Support the distribution of non-food item kits in an effective and efficient manner, and monitor progress of light shelter repair work, through on the ground work Assist in formal and informal monitoring and evaluation of activities, and in identifying needs and gaps in assistance. Assist in accompanying and briefing donor and organizational visitors on activities in the field. Collect and analyze information received from implementing and operational humanitarian partners. Counseling refugees and host communities on services and activities, including individual case assessment and follow-up. Participate in relevant assessments as needed and attend relevant meetings at field level.Other duties as required. The qualified candidate must be flexible in this regard.
