SCOPE OF WORK: The CP Psychosocial (PSS) Officer will be responsible for managing the overall Psychosocial program in one of the governorates. The CP PSS Officer will be responsible for the coordination, supervision and support for the PSS workers and the para-PSS workers. The CP PSS Officer will be responsible for the supervision and support of the basic PSS and targeted PSS activities. The CP PSS Officer will support the development of PSS material for children and parents and will provide the training and coaching to his/her PSS team. The PSS Officer ensures regular monitoring and on-site coaching visits, and for children needing targeted and specialized PSS activities will work closely with the Case Management (CM) team.

Coordinate the psychosocial team and ensure that their work is according to guidelines and standards
Provide technical support to the psychosocial team through training and coaching

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program
Participate in the development of the CP Psychosocial wellbeing baseline tool and support its implementation
Participate in the development of PSS material for children and parents
Develop training plan for the PSS team
Facilitate and co- facilitate training for the PSS team and IRC CP partner
Participate in the identification of volunteer para-PSS worker and the development of their coaching plan
Ensure that the PSS activities taking place in the communities and the settlements respond to needs
Provide strong technical support in the delivery of PSS programs, especially targeted and specialized PSS activities for children showing signs of PSS distress
Ensure the correct implementation of the outreach strategy for CP service delivery at the household level
Work closely with the CM officer
Facilitate PSS weekly meetings
Participate in the development of lessons learned and best practices
In coordination with the M/E training officer, participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the program
Grant Monitoring & Reporting
Develop weekly and monthly plans for the PSS worker and para-PSS workers
Review and compile weekly PSS worker reports
Ensure that all relevant financial documentation is completed accurately as required by IRC’s finance policy.
Coordination & Representation
Attend CP coordination meetings when required
Liaise and collaborate with other PSS actors when required
Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partner and other IRC sector staff.
Other
Ensure activities are done in accordance with IRC logistics policy and in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs;
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs
