Clinical Psychologist

Scope of Responsibility Implement and monitor mental health strategy and activities within the MSF project in Hasbaya and Marjayoun disctrict. Function responsibilities Mental Health activities Strong sense of neutrality and confidentiality Develop overall mental health approach appropriate to the specific context, in close collaboration with the Medical Team Leader and the Mental Health Coordinator. Carry out psychological care (psychological support or psychotherapy) according to MSF protocols Adapt therapy to the context in accordance with the defined strategy Evaluate the psychological needs of the patient Diagnose any psychiatric or psychological disorder Define the best response (treatment and strategy) to answer these psychological needs Refer patients to a medical doctor  (preferably a psychiatrist) if pharmaceutical therapy is required Coordination and training Coordinate all aspects of the mental health project Increase awarness and train health staff on mental health  External Communication Set up and maintain a network within the mental health community in the area in order to coordinate, liaise and avoid duplication of activities Monitoring, analysis and reporting Participate in the development of the mental health strategy of the project Actively monitor and report mental health activities (correctly fill registers, statistics and produce reports). Propose analyse of these statistics. Report immediately all important information linked to the clinical psychologist activities that should be communicated to the hierarchy
