Reporting directly to the Regional Project Managerand under the direct supervision ofthe Chief of Mission in Beirut, and in close coordination with the Regional Office in Cairo including the Regional Migrant Assistance Specialist (‘RTS’), the intern will be responsible for developing project implementation tools not limited to developing baseline information, within the EU funded ‘Project to Protect and Assist Vulnerable and Exploited Migrant Workers in the Middle East’ (‘PAVE’). RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Conducting desk review of migrant workers’ situation in targeted countries (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt). S/he will specifically look at; • Data related to migrants profile • Types of abuses/exploitation against migrant workers • Information about stakeholders concerned by the migrants within the country (Iraq- Egypt-Saudi Arabia). • The laws/policies/regulations related to migrant workers in the countries (i.e. provisions undermining or protecting migrant workers’ rights) • Services available (or lack thereof) for exploited migrants in targeted countries 2. Conducting stakeholders mapping through interview with concerned stakeholders. 3. Assist in developing strategic communication tool in preparation to the regional information material campaign. 4. Assist in producing public information material (newsletter, pres release, etc) 5. Perform other duties that may be assigned
