Education Field Officer - Beirut

General Description of Role   The Education Field Officer is responsible for coordinating on a daily basis with school administration and teachers, facilitating the coordination of all program activities in the assigned school responsible as well as for involving communities in project development, planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation for an emergency response Remedial Education/WASH project in response to the Syrian crisis to be implemented in Lebanon. Main Responsibilities 1. Assist Program Manager in providing leadership and oversight of the project. 2. Works closely with the Programs team to develop community assessment tools. 3. Assist in the development of any program related surveys and other appropriate field-based studies. To collect and to use program related information as a tool for planning and managing it effectively. 4. Ensure the schedule of classes are held (remedial and accelerated learning), ensure the availability of supplies, facilitate the coordination of all program activities in the assigned school (hygiene promotion and teacher training sessions), and generally being the front-line of RI-CISP in each school. 5. Represent Project as appropriate in workshops, meetings and public forums to share project accomplishments. 6. To provide specific focus on all aspects of the program needs and related activities. 7. To organize and to ensure ongoing exchange of information between all the partners and program senior staff, and to prepare monthly reports. 8. To prepare weekly and monthly Plan of Action, and to ensure effective implementation of the general project Work Plan. 9. Ensure that the program activities are carried out in the area according to RI requirements and in coordination with RI Senior Management Staff 10. Collects and records data in an accurate fashion and provides comprehensive data reports. 11. Represents the organization in a professional and respectful manner to all community members. 12. Ensure project implementation in compliance with RI policies 13. Work closely with Finance Department on financial reports, cash flows, etc. 14. Responsible for ensuring appropriate safeguards are put into place to ensure the program is implemented in a manner free of corruption or questionable practices. 15. Other duties as assigned   Required Qualifications   This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment. Bachelor Degree in Social Education or any other related field, Masters Degree is a plus A minimum 3 to 5 years experience in operations position preferably with Local or International NGOs. Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Good command of Excel and Microsoft Word preferred. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic & English is a must Desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility are desired characteristics. National staff are required for this position
