Fundraising Intern

Amel Association International is a non-governmental organization established in 1979. Through its 23 centers across Lebanon, Amel Association provides access to health care services and implements development programs targeting underprivileged populations, regardless of their nationality or political and religious affiliations. Amel Association also aims to strengthen the culture of rights among citizens, refugees and migrants and promote access to their rights and their involvement in public life.   ASSIGNMENT The Fundraising intern is based in Beirut. He/She works under the direct supervision of the Fundraising officer. He/She supports the Fundraising officer in proposal writing and related tasks, in collaboration with the program coordinators.   TASKS AND DUTIES The Fundraising intern will support the Fundraising officer in: 1)       Identifying, researching and evaluating potential donors and new channels (including call for proposals) for donor acquisition; 2)       Performing rapid needs assessments (desk review and field researches); 3)       Developing concept notes, proposals and related tools (problem tree, risk analysis, workplan, logical framework); 4)       Maintaining and organizing hard and soft files of all fundraising information; 5)       Reviewing proposals developed by other staff members; 6)       Performing other duties as may be assigned.   SKILLS AND QUALITIES 1)       At least one experience in writing and/or reviewing a proposal for an NGO; 2)       Very good communication and written English skills; French is a plus 3)       Ability to meet deadlines and work  under pressure; 4)       Good knowledge of the Lebanese context; 5)       Capacity to work in a team. 6)       Good interpersonal skills 7)       Experience in researching and desk review is a must 8)       Working in an NGO or in proposal writing is a plus   APPLICATIONS WITHOUT COVER LETTER WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
