Erd-Field Assistant (4 Positions)

SCOPE OF WORK: Brief description of the position’s role within the Project(s): The ERD Programme is recruiting four Field Assistants. The Field Assistant is a field-level position supporting the IRC’s ERD programme. It is now a 6 months financial assistance programme to support vulnerable refugee and host community households to meet their immediate needs and reduce the risks for women and girls to rely on negative coping strategies for survival. The programme is intended to expand with the inclusion of interventions aimed at supporting livelihoods and self-reliance of vulnerable refugees and host communities. The ERD-Field Assistants will spend most of their time in the field, assisting in the identification of target communities, and participating in all monitoring activities.   Position objectives: The main objective of this position is to support the identification and identification of beneficiaries, liaise with local stakeholders, and gather accurate information in a timely manner, according to the tools and processes established within the ERD M&E Framework.   Who this position reports to: Livelihoods Manager   RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direct supervision of the Sr. ERD M&E and Database Officer Support the identification and registration of beneficiaries Mobilize and liaise with local stakeholders and build trust Conduct focus group discussions with beneficiaries and others Ensure that distributions are adequately documented Participate in field-based data collection for several ERD assessments and monitoring exercises, as per agreed calendars: household vulnerability assessment, post-distribution monitoring assessments, market monitoring Assist the Database Officer with data entry Conduct spot checks of ERD field activities, at different stages of the program implementation: meetings with local stakeholders, notifications about enrollment in the program, information sessions, focus group discussions, referrals, other assistance Draft and submit reports of each field visits on a timely basis and according to templates provided by the Sr. M&E and Database Officer Assisting the IRC’s partner’s organization and field teams in verifying the accuracy of data collected at all stages of the program, and in particular at the beneficiary identification phase Other Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs   Professional Standards All IRC staff are required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies.

• Bachelor of Arts or Science in Social Science, Economics, Agriculture, Food Security, or related field
• 2-3 years of experience implementing community based projects
• Demonstrated experience and capacity in conducting field-level and data collection and some experience in data analysis
• Previous experience in drafting reports
• Strong ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility
• INGO experience preferred
• Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
• Fluency in English and Arabic required
