World Learning seeks a number of Beirut-based personnel for a USAID-funded education project in Lebanon. Duration: 2 years. Recruitment contingent upon successful award of the project.
The English Language Training Manager will preferably be of Lebanese nationality. S/he will report to the Chief of Party, and be in charge of day-to-day oversight and leadership of the English language training program.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as point of contact with partners, working to connect internal and external stakeholders for maximized delivery of high quality, efficient and timely programming;
Manage quality control of the English training programs, in collaboration with program team, sub-contractors, and other key stakeholders.
Liaise with the Chief of Party and other key staff, including World Learning HQ technical staff, to ensure effective communication and comprehensive response to program needs.
Provide day-to-day oversight and management of the EnPish language training component of the project.
Liaise with partners and internal/external stakeholders to support program logistics, obtain both formal and informal feedback on the program, and effectively respond to any issues or concerns that arise.
Coordinate with partners, and key internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, efficient and timely programming.
Manage and supervise team of core English language training experts responsible for delivery of high-quality English language training programming.
Report regularly to Chief of Party, providing timely updates of all situational and project-component developments.
Provide English language training input for annual work plans, weekly meetings, and other USAID reporting requirements.
Work closely with project-component counterparts leading to ensure an integrated and efficient approach to program-wide activities to ensure robust and sustainable development of public schools.
Regularly update Chief of Party on progression of programs.
Ensure that the Mission’s needs are met in the most cost-effective manner possible.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Min. 10 years of strong, relevant experience in English language teaching, curriculum development and education management.
Experience managing education-related focused components of development projects.
Solid knowledge of the Lebanese context.
Excellent communication skills.
Fluency in English and Arabic.
Strong team leadership capabilities.
Lebanese nationals highly encouraged to apply.
