Emergency Field Officer

Job Title:                                   Emergency Field Officer for the Syrian Refugee Intervention Organization:                            War Child Holland Job Location:                             Beirut and travelling to North Lebanon. Starting date + period:              Six months, possibility of extension                 Responsibilities   Regular follow up and monitoring of the Syrian Refugees Emergency Project. Ensure periodic monitoring takes place. Responsible for the achievement of the objectives of the project proposal Ensure, promote and facilitate that the principles of child protection and child participation are integrated into all project activities and communication with project staff, children and communities targeted by the project. Ensure a strict adherence to War Child Holland Child Protection Policy at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centred approach, acts in the best interests of the child Represent WCH Lebanon in relevant working  groups and other coordination platforms. Coordinate the logistics and administration of the project. Prepare and write monthly reports as War Child template, and submit to the supervisor on the date identified. Program regular visits to the activities to assess partner performance and  to ensure the quality of the project supporting in the process of monitoring and evaluation Work closely and effectively with the War Child Holland Lebanon Team. Liaise  and coordinate with the government/ UN agencies and National-International NGOs Coordinate  trainings, workshops and conferences. Liaise with professional counterparts of (inter)national authorities and organizations; Timely identify, inform and discuss any issues with his/her supervisor Weekly control the budget to ensure proper expenditure of each budget line Any other tasks deemed appropriate by the Emergency Programme Manager Reporting Report to the Emergency Programme Manager. Applicant’s Profile: At least one year of experience working in child centered programming in the region Knowledge in planning, monitoring and evaluation including developing tools and  supporting local partners Keen to work in unsecure and unstable environment. Ability to adapt and be capable to deal  with difficult security conditions Experience in psychosocial support programming Good writing skills Capacity to work in small teams and flexibility to take on new tasks. Strong social and communication skills Fluency in English and Arabic. Driving license required.   Conditions Full time job of 40 hours per week, distributed in five days according the needs of the program. Competitive remuneration. Local  contract. The staff will follow the Terms and Conditions of employment of War Child Holland in Lebanon.
