Social Worker

 CISP is recruiting a Social Assistant to be involved in the implementation of a project in support to Syrian Refugees in South Lebanon, Districts of Nabatiyé, Bint Jbail, Marjaayoun and Tyre. The project’s plan includes distribution of Non Food Items (NFI), winterization kits, shelter repairs and assessments. Kind of work: Support to Syrian asylum seekers (Non Food Items, winterization, shelter, WASH) Living in Marjayoun or Hasbaya will be an advantage.  IMPORTANT: CVs not accompanied by cover letters will be automatically rejected without being read. Duties: Identification of specific needs: Work as mobile/outreach team to identify, register and analyze beneficiaries specifics needs taking record of the vulnerabilities Develop a community approach to ensure a confidence in CISP process and project Ensure a global vision of the individual and familial needs in the identification Assess all protection issues at individuals and familial level Answer to the identified needs by providing direct support (distribution):   Identify basic and specific needs and deliver appropriate items if need arise, following the appropriate strategy Refer all cases identified internally to the working team within the internal system in place Refer all cases identified externally in case no appropriate and immediate response to needs could be given by CISP  Develop and reinforce the relationships with INGO, LNGO, authorities, community focal points and any other stakeholders on the field: Develop and follow up the network of CISP focal points within your area of intervention Regularly contact the focal points to get information about the general situation of most vulnerable population affected by the Syrian crisis, and especially within the refugee’s communities Maintain a flexible system of referrals from focal points to CISP team, according to focal points constraints Share with the other team members the cases located outside of your area of intervention Report datas, follow-up cases and organize the daily and weekly activities: Close follow-up of individual and familial cases to ensure a qualitative follow-up of all the beneficiaries, Ensure a daily quantitative and qualitative reporting through the tools (assessment form, follow up form, discharger and monitoring form, donation certificate) and system in place Organization of the weekly plan within the pluridisciplinary team, with the support of Project Coordinator Any other reports to be made upon request of the Project Coordinator or CISP Country Representative Participate in the analysis and reporting of global issues in the refugee population In formal and informal meetings with the team, participate to a qualitative analysis of the different kinds of issues, at individual, familial and community level Share in formal and informal meetings with the team the information you collect on the field regarding humanitarian actors activities and constraints Participate to report with the tools and the internal system all issues identified Be part of a constructive holistic team work to develop a very qualitative analysis and response for disable and vulnerable persons To demonstrate an ethic and professional practice: Respect beneficiary confidentiality. Respect and promote CISP’s Policies and report to your line manager any non respect of CISP’s policies amongst the teams or partners. Address needs and requests in a professional way. Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others. Always interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers Always respect a refusal of treatment. The commencement date will be immediately after selection. The duty station is Tyre, South Lebanon and the foreseen duration of the contract is three months, with one month trial period.
