Intern- Tree Nurseries

APJM is looking for motivated students of agriculture or forest engineering who are interested in an internship with us in our native tree nursery. The nursery is located at three sites within the Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve, the villages of Yahshoush, Mshati, and Qehmez.  The task area includes: - Weekly maintenance and monitoring of the nursery at the three sites during the growing season - Additional activities at beginning and towards the end of the year. Approximate schedule for the activities throughout the year: . April- August:   - Nursery maintenance & monitoring. September – December:   - Nursery maintenance & monitoring   - Seed collection, processing & treatment   - Sowing. February- April:   - Nursery preparation   - Seed treatment   - Sowing For the beginning, APJM provides transportation from the office in Jounieh to the site with the APJM staff in charge of the nursery. After the intern becomes acquainted with the work tasks and access routes, he is expected  to reach the nursery independently.
