Dvfp Project Officer Northern Lebanon (Disability And Vulnerability Focal Point)

MISSION CONTEXT   Following the yearlong crisis in theSyrianArabRepublic, that has caused the displacement of civilians inTurkey,LebanonandJordan, Handicap International is implementing projects inLebanonandJordan, aiming at mitigating the impact of the crisis on the Syrian refugees and the host communities. InLebanonas well as inJordan, Handicap International aims to improve the access to emergency rehabilitation cares for the Syrian refugees at hospital and community level and to improve the coverage of the specific needs of the most vulnerable people affected by the crisis at the community level. InLebanon, the targeted areas are the northernBekaaValleyandTripoli, whereas inJordan, the targeted area is the northern region closed to the boarder.   In Bekaa, Handicap International aims to improve the coverage of basics and specific needs of the most vulnerable people affected by the crisis at the community level, and by developing a tailored response to improve conditions of life during winter period. In Tripoli, Handicap International aims to provide direct support to syrian injured refugies at hospital and community level. Besides, HI aims to improve the coverage of specific needs for vulnerable persons in the North.    ACCOUNTABILITIES Under the direct supervision of the DVFP Project Manager , you will will ensure that the specific needs of people with disability/ vulnerability or at risk of disability are included in the humanitarian response to the Syrian crisis inNorthern Lebanon.  Your tasks will inlcude (amongst others): -the organization of the team work: responsible for the planning of the team on the field : organization of the weekly planning of activities of the plurdisciplinary team, taking into account the visits of technical referents and line manager, and the objectives given by DVFP PM -to ensure the work quality of your team on reporting, distribution, referrals and information sharing -the liaision with stakeholders and identification of the different services provided at local level: at field level, organize the link between stakeholders and HI team -the management of referral cases: in close collaboration with the team, and following the referral strategy of the programme, refer daily all the referral cases to external actors -the reporting: send weekly report to DVFP PM Knowledge Vulnerability and Disability Project management Rehabilitation Psychosocial Skills Strong management and planification skills Good communication and listening skills Proactive Diplomacy Excellent computers skills Personal qualities Adaptation to specific working conditions Sense of relationship and responsability Capacity to work in team and autonomously Capacity to work in an multidisciplinary and multicultural team Dynamism, high level of motivation Interest for psychosocial work and field work Willingness to learn new skills and/or approaches Good capacity to interact with members of the team and different communities.
